This is a wrap up of our week trying to find a balance between doing school and just having fun.
Bebop is 5 years old, Magoo is 2 1/2, Doodad is 7 months.
Jared is playing baseball with a local team. We went with him to practice this week and the boys LOVED watching all the guys play. Bebop made an excellent cheering section with a “good job Dad” on every catch or throw. The boys each got a chance to hit the ball after practice.
As a result of watching Dad play, the boys asked to play baseball outside every day. Both are pretty good at throwing and Bebop is getting good at catching.
The warm weather this week was the perfect excuse to play in the sprinklers.
Despite spending the majority of time playing outside this week, we did get a little bit of school done. Bebop copied a page from Goodnight Moon and read the story to Magoo several times. We talked a bit more about the moon and space. Both boys asked if we could have Oreo’s for school again! Bebop and I talked about the setting of the book (Teaching the Classics lesson 3) and he drew a picture of his room at bed time.
I made up this sensory bin with a few things we had around the house because Magoo kept asking to go plant more flowers in our garden. The bin has black beans (left over from a transportation bin last year), a few fake flowers, old cans, and a spoon. It was a huge hit! Both boys have played with it every day.
Doodad is now able to sit up! He love sitting up in the grass watching his brothers play. I do have to keep a close eye on him because he likes to eat the grass.
I edited the pictures this week using a program on my ipod. What do you think? Should I keep the collages?
