Over the past two weeks, I’ve put most of my extra time into getting ready to start our school year. I’m behind on Project 365, but pretty sure I remembered to take a picture every day! Enjoy.

Monday, July 23 – Storms of All Kinds

The storm that is Magoo blew through the boys room this morning. At some point he managed to give himself a black eye. I never heard Magoo cry, so I’m not really sure when or how this happened. I’m really surprised there isn’t more bruising.

Right after we finished eating dinner, the sky became very dark and a rain and hail storm started. Bebop has never seen a hail storm before (that he can remember) and had mixed feeling about this one. He didn’t like it while it was happening, but couldn’t talk about anything else for a few days. A couple days later, Bebop told me when he gets to heaven, he’s going to tell God the storm He(God) made knocked out our power and he(Bebop) really didn’t like it. Bebop also made me promise to wait for him if I get to heaven first.

Tuesday, July 24 – Salt

While I was mopping the floors, Magoo stole a container of salt out of the pantry. The boys dumped almost all of it out on the floor before getting caught. Luckily is all vacuumed up easily.

Wednesday, July 25 – The Steamer Basket

Magoo steals my steamer basket from the kitchen almost daily. I finally gave in and let him play with it. By adding a few cut up pipe cleaners, it kept him entertained for most of an afternoon.

Thursday, July 26 – Girls Night Out, Boys Night In

I went out to dinner with a few girl friends and left the boys home. (I took a shower, dressed up and actually put on make up!) This is the first time I’ve gone on a Girl’s Night Out since Bebop was born. In my own defense, I really don’t like to go to crowded places if I can avoid them. (I have tinnitus – ringing in my ears that is aggravated by excess background noise. It’s a result of noise induced hearing loss from college. After about an hour in a noisy restaurant I can’t hear normal conversation anymore.) We went to a nice, quiet sushi and hibachi restaurant and sat around talking until closing. It was a great time!

Jared cooked dinner for the boys. The hot dog race cars were a huge hit. Magoo ate 3 by himself! Bebop even asked when dad was going to cook again because his dinner was more fun than most of mine.

Friday, July 27 – Books, Books Everywhere

Magoo love to read, or at least pretend to read. He is always taking books off the shelves to look at the pictures. I’ve been trying hard to teach him to put the books away, but its he hasn’t figured it out yet.

Saturday, July 28 – Parade!

Our town hosted a parade featuring many local businesses and community groups. The boys loved it and both came home with a ridiculous amount of candy. (They forgot about the candy after two days, so Jared and I had to eat it for them.)

Hot dog cars=SUPER cute! Salt=ugh. I’m sooo sorry. Jack spilled 1/2 a container of powdered lemonade this week. You look GREAT! That’s all I have
)
Ick… Lemonade would be so hard to clean up. At least salt is sorta a cleaner… at least a preservative.
