Most of our family lives on the West Coast, so we took advantage of a few cousins living near each other to get together for a day at Busch Gardens. We met up with my brother, Ben, his wife, Bridget and my cousin Kevin, his wife, Hannah and their girls S and C. Six adults to keep track of four kids, only two who really needed constant supervision, was an ideal ratio. Magoo spent most of the day attached to either his Aunt Bridget or his cousin S. Bebop and C spent the entire day together, going on every ride the could.

We arrived at the park just before it opened at 9 am, and headed to the Sesame Street Forest of Fun before the rest of the park opened at 10. Bebop went on his first roller coaster, Grover’s Alpine Express, with his cousins. My once cautious little boy quickly became an adrenaline junkie, begging to go on every ride in the park. He REALLY wanted to go on the big roller coasters, but the large drops on the water rides were intense enough for him.

Magoo was extremely upset that he couldn’t go on the roller coaster with the big kids. He was excited to go on the kid’s water ride with S, but Magoo thought he was sitting on my lap. When he came around the turn and saw me, the poor little guy burst into tears.

We spent the day running around the park, going on every ride we could. I was extremely impressed with the number of rides designed for little guys like Bebop and Magoo. They were thoroughly entertained all day, both staying awake to shut down the park at 10 pm (Magoo did take a short nap).

Magoo is completely in love with his Aunt Bridget. Here they are watching the roller coasters zoom by. Thanks everyone for such a great day!
