Sunday, June 10 – Doughnuts for Breakfast

June 10 Doughnut

I usually make the boys a very healthy breakfast, either oatmeal, eggs or whole wheat pancakes.  We thought a new house deserved a bit of a celebration and had doughnuts.  The boys loved it, and then got a bath before heading off to church.

I didn’t get a picture of my belly for this week, but it still looks about the same as last week.

Monday, June 11 – Tattoos and Painting

The boys went to a birthday party on Sunday afternoon and had some temporary tattoos in their treat bags.

June 11 - Magoo tattoo

Magoo spent most of the day pointing to his and trying to say “oink”.

June 11 Bebop tattoo

Magoo would also point to Bebop’s tattoo and say “moo”.

June 11 painting the basementOur basement has a large almost finished room that was painted an ugly pale green.  We decided to paint it and the other open area white to brighten the basement.

June 11 Bebop painting

Bebop did his best to help, but the overwhelming urge to stick the entire paintbrush in the bucket and make a huge mess eventually won.  I kept the boys  entertained upstairs, and Jared painted most of the basement by himself.  (My husband is amazing!)

Tuesday, June 12 – Unloading the Truck in the Rain

June 12 boxes arrive

It started to rain just before the moving truck arrived on Tuesday.  The movers did a wonderful job of keeping the rain off our furniture and boxes and unloaded the truck in just a few hours.

June 12 Playing in the Rain

Initially I tried to keep the boys out of the rain,  but they were always standing in someone’s way.  Letting them play on the side of the house kept them occupied, so they played for over an hour until both were soaking wet.  I then had to open boxes until I found clean, dry clothes while both boys ran around in just their underwear.  Certainly our most memorable moving day!

June 12 playing in the packing paper

We opened the essential boxes right away and the paper quickly piled up.  Magoo thought it was a great place to play.

June 12 Bubble Wrap

The TV was on the list of essential things we opened right away.  The boys haven’t watched TV in almost 3 months, and were VERY excited to get it set up.  (They still don’t get to watch much TV.)

Wednesday, June 13 – Three Story Park

June 13 three story park

Can you find Bebop in the picture?  We took a break from unpacking and explored a new park.

Thursday, June 14 – Treasure Hunting

June 14 treasure hunting at gate

We spent a few hours in the morning enjoying the beautiful sunshine.  The boys had a great time hunting for treasure until Magoo fell in the duck pond. (Pictures coming)

Friday, June 15 – Chicken Costume

June 15 Chicken costume

Magoo was trying to help me unpack the boxes in the boys’ room.  He found Bebop’s old chicken costume in a box and insisted on wearing it for over an hour.  Bebop followed Magoo around the house trying to teach him to chirp.

Saturday, June 16 – Verona Beach

June 16 - Verona Beach

After conquering the boxes in the basement (Jared unpacked almost all of them while I went to  yoga class) we took the kids to Verona Beach for a picnic dinner.  This is a typical picture with the boys where they’d rather play in the sand than look at the camera.

June 16 - sand beach waves

Bebop was content to throw sand in the water.

June 16 - jumping beach wavesMagoo loved the waves and wanted to keep walking out into the water.  I didn’t think to take swim suits, so I did my best to keep Magoo from getting completely soaked.  We will definitely go back prepared to swim.
