We went to the grocery store this morning, and Magoo fell asleep in the car on the way home. I carried him up to our apartment and put him in bed. The exhausted boy slept almost 45 minutes. He hasn’t taken morning naps regularly in several months, but has needed one almost every day this week.

The problem is that this little boy functions as an alarm clock waking up the whole house at about 5 am. He used to sleep until almost 7, but I think the early morning sun is waking him up. We don’t have any curtains on the windows in the boys room, but we’re planning to change that tonight. Hopefully we can find something inexpensive, but thick enough to block most of the light. If we can’t, I might send him back to Grandma’s house!

I remember going out to buy blackout blinds for my daughters bedroom. I was convinced they would make my life soooo much better. They did, but not as much as I imagined.
One day, when he wakes up early, he will bring you a cup of tea (or coffee) in bed. Then this will all be worth it.
