Today was Jared’s first day of work since moving to New York.  We’ve had almost 3 full weeks with dad around all day.  It has been a huge blessing for me as Doodad (baby #3) is zapping all my energy.  I thought a trip to the library would be enough activity for these boys today and I was completely wrong.  They have SO much energy, and are completely bored in our apartment.  Almost everything we own is currently in storage until we find a house, so we’re camping out in the apartment.  We have two air mattresses, a card table with folding chairs, and two small tubs of toys resulting in absolutely nothing in the living room.  Apparently it was too much for Magoo today.  He grabbed my keys and tried to unlock the door to leave.

Poor guy has no idea how the door works.  I spent most of nap time today putting together a plan to do some tot school and preschool activities with the boys.  We’re going to start with a few practical life lessons tomorrow and an alphabet unit I got from the library.  My big goals are to teach Bebop to tie his shoes, and teach Magoo to drink from a cup with out pouring half the water on his shirt before we move.  I promise pictures!

Wow, he’s really reaching for that doorknob! It’s amazing how quickly they learn; mine now knows how to open and close doors, eeks!

I hope you have better luck with the shoe tying than I did. My twelve year old has just decided it really is time to learn. 12! Still, I guess he does have other talents.
